Beer Can Tuesdays

Every Tuesdays when the winds are projected to be 5-12mph, we'll meet at the club for very casual racing. Check in at the pavilion by 5:30pm and we'll start racing at 6pm. First time sailors must present a crew safety certificate (free coupon code = CDYCSAFETY) and sign a waiver.  After the sailing fun we'll put away our boats and meet in the pavilion for grilled hot dogs and cold beverages.  Spectators are welcome and we encourage anyone with questions to stop by just before sunset on a Tuesday and meet our friendly members and enjoy a hot dog and learn more about sailing in Decatur.  Prospective members with a safety certificate are welcome to sail with us on Tuesdays as our guest.  Please note sailing coordinators will only place adult sailors on a sailboat.  Please contact beercantuesdays@gmail.com if you would like to learn more and/or receive weekly invites and updates.

The first weekend in June, CDCY will be hosting a Lightning Regatta. We would really like to put on a good show for our out of town guests. This is the first time since 1992 this regatta has been held in Decatur.  We currently have competitors attending from Memphis, Nashville, Indiana, Carlyle, and Davenport.  We will start with a Friday night Welcome party/ cookout from 5:00 - 7:00. This is free and open to all club members.
