  It's our annual seafood and jerk chicken social event!!  Come to enjoy John Hearn's famous seafood and sausage boil and grilled "jerk" chicken.  This party is always a hit every year as we try to get our musical members out to showcase their talents with fun Yacht Rock and Caribbean style music for all to enjoy.  We may have some fun door prizes to give away...

  This one does have a registration cost - to help off-set the cost of the meal and any door prizes that are not donated.  $10 per person, please.  Bring a side dish or dessert to share with the group.

  The club will provide the meat, table service, and water.  We *may* have some spirits left from a previous event that we *may* bring out for the group to enjoy with their beverages... if anyone has a blender - that's always popular!

• Learn to Sail: Sea Leg Saturdays

  "Sea Leg Saturdays" is a an opportunity for newer club members to develop skills and build confidence with the help more experienced club members. Come out on Saturday morning and help a fellow sailor by showing them the ropes, maybe showing them your boat, or helping them with rigging and general sailing questions. 

  Our Saturday coordinator is Bob Reible. Please register if you plan to attend and look for Bob's contact information and further instructions in the registration response.  

  Non Racers

  • Free online Introduction to Sailing course at SailboatInstructor.com (Coupon code provided upon registration)

  • Sail a club-owned Compac 16 or San Juan 21 or a speedy Hobie 14 and develop your skills and confidence.  

  • Sail under the supervision of an experienced skipper or instructor

  • Get certified to sail boats unsupervised once you demonstrate safe sailing basics and sailing proficiency

  Flying Scot Racers

  • Sail a club-owned Flying Scot with Fleet 215

  • Instruction and coaching from experienced racers

  • Get certified to skipper a club-owned FS at a Midwest District regatta
